| all work and no play made stasia and dull girl. she'd been working with her editor on videos all after noon with only a couple hour long recording session that morning and she had started to get stir crazy. that was about the time she had messaged two of her dearest acquaintances, dallas todd and harley belmonte, and demanded they come hang out with her to help her regain whatever sanity she'd had. she wasn't sure what they were going to do, but she was determined to figure something out. it would be nice to get out, plus she hadn't seen either of them in a while and missed their goofy, beautiful selves being a part of her life and making her laugh.
driving around town with a taco bell stop under her belt, the brown paper bag sitting in her passenger seat and filling the car with a smell that made her stomach growl persistently, she was on a mission. that was when the local mini golf course jumped out at her. she pulled off into the surprisingly empty parking lot, though the late hour probably explained that, and she shot dallas and harley a text of where to meet her. it had been so long since she had done mini golf that the idea actually excited her. plus, he could only imagine how funny it would be to watch dallas try to maneuver the various courses they offered. she just hoped it wouldn't end in him beating somebody with one of the putters or anyone turning the innocent course into a driving range. while she waited for her friends to arrive, she reached into the paper bag and pulled out her dinner and began to nibble on the quesadilla. |

Post by HARLEY TEGAN BELMONT on Dec 8, 2016 14:22:28 GMT -7
It was almost uncommon for Harley to have an entire afternoon, free to herself, without any work related responsibilities consuming her time. Most days, at this hour, she was either working the register at the damn warehouse or running errands for her father, who somehow always managed to purchase less than necessary, leaving her to rush across town, from auto shop to auto shop in search of a typically tiny-ass, out of stock item. So, the very concept of having nothing to do with any manner of ridiculous duties for the day, was simultaneously a relief and also a case for extreme boredom - she honestly had no idea what to do with so much time.
In the end, it didn't take her long to decide exactly how she wanted to pass said time though; lounging around in her pajamas, eating nothing but junk food, and catching up on shows she was unfortunately and embarrassingly behind on. An idea that was rather enjoyable at first, but after five episodes of Game of Thrones she was starting to get restless. Though, not because the show was unable to hold her interest - it was fucking incredible, shit was going down, and she was into it - but, for some reason, it just wasn't enough anymore. She needed to do something else, more...social.
So, the moment her phone dinged, a half hour later, notifying her of an incoming text, she immediately paused the episode, and unlocked the device. Surprised to find a text from a recent acquaintance, Stasia, demanding she come hangout. She quickly typed out a response, expressing her interesting, and slight willingness to do just about anything. Turns out, from the following text she received, anything consists of miniature golf. A game Harley is fairly certain, she has never played once in her life, but she figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.
It didn't take her long to get ready; changing into some weather appropriate clothes, putting her hair in a messy ponytail, and lacing up her favorite boots. The task that took the longest, and made her leave later than she wanted, was finding her leather jacket, which took longer than she would ever care to admit. But once she found it, she was out the door, and within five minutes was speeding down the highway, towards the local mini golf course. A location that was relatively close to her apartment.
The parking log was pretty much empty when she arrived, a fact that she was glad to discover, hoping desperately during the drive, she wouldn't have to deal with crowd; none the less crowds of screaming children. Considering there were only a few cars in the parking lot, parked close to the back, undoubtedly belonged to employees, and she clearly recognized the lone car near the entrance, it was safe to say the families and groups had cleared out.
She pulled up next to the familiar vehicle, and shut off her engine. Stepping over to her acquaintances car, she leaned against the driver's side, peering into the open window. "Hey!"

Post by DALLAS GADSDEN TODD on Dec 8, 2016 17:35:46 GMT -7
dallas had become a hermit. dallas had become a complete and total hermit. he got up and did his job and then went straight back home to hide in utter darkness and drink his day away. he hardly had contact with any of the people he called his friends, and he hadn't even seen his sisters in quite some time either. he didn't really know what came over him, but he wanted to be alone suddenly, and people left him to do just that. it had been weeks since he had really even been out of his house other than him dealing drugs. he kind of fell of the face of the planet to most of the people that knew him around town. sure, some people tried calling and texting him, but only to get the silent treatment from him. no response. dallas really had never gotten this way, unless something really big and life impacting had happened. honestly, he was just tired of dealing with other people's shit.
he awoke this afternoon from his cell phone vibrating, meaning he had received a text. he grumbled and grabbed his cell from off of the nightstand and looked at who had texted him. stasia. He squinted his eyes to read the letters on the screen as well as the time displayed and then slammed the phone back down on the table, letting out another grumble as he shoved his head under his pillows. stasia was asking - no, rather, demanding - that he meet up with her. he lied there, debating whether or not he actually wanted to go see her. he had kind of kept himself cooped up in his house long enough that maybe it was time to finally let himself out. after, it was stasia. it was always a good time hanging out with that chick. maybe she could bring him out of the rut he's been in as of lately. he lied there for about another fifteen minutes to half an hour before he reluctantly decided.
with a huff, he tossed the blankets off of him and got himself out of bed. he shuffled into the bathroom and took a quick shower to clean himself up, though the stench of alcohol still lingered quite prominently. once he got out, he grabbed a... decently... clean pair of clothes and quickly changed into them. he thought continuously about how maybe he should just change his mind and just stay in bed to drink for the rest the day. make up an excuse and just ditch. but he told himself that he'd just go out for a little bit. not even that long of a time... it wont be so bad. he grabbed his phone from the nightstand and exited the bedroom into his living room. he tossed on his black hoodie and a black beanie, grabbed his wallet and keys and headed out.
he pulled into the parking lot with rap music bumping loudly through his speakers and parked next to Harley's car. he pulled out his phone and scrolled through a few stuff before shutting his car and music off and taking a look at the mini golf course and rolled his eyes. it had been years since dallas had thought and mini golf and even longer since he had even stepped foot near one. the last time he had gone to a putt-putt course, he had ended up getting kicked out for some unexplained reasons that were totally not dallas' fault, or so he liked to think.
he gathered his things and exited the car to meet up with his pals. although, he was quite surprised to see harley was there. harley and dallas had hung out quite a few times. the "friendship" they had was kind of a love/hate relationship. they could talk and get along just fine but mainly just gave each other shit and picked on each other. most people would look at their friendship and think that they hated each other. honestly, dallas didn't hate harley. he thought she was a cool chick, but they butted heads and tended to argue more than anything. what's kind of funny is one minute they could be chilling and having a good time and then the next, they would totally be all up in each other's faces just screaming at each other. he guessed that's what made their friendship so interesting and that it was kind of unpredictable which way they'd get along when they hung out. "fuckin' mini golf, stasia? you're just dicking around with me, right, kid?" he grumbled, walking over to stasia's car and standing next to harley.
